The purpose of this course is to familiarize students with the basic concepts and terminology of grammar in general and English grammar in particular, to examine the grammatical structures of English, to provide students with a coherent framework for analyzing English grammar, and to help students identify and correct their own — and their students’ errors — in written and spoken English.
