Project Description
The topics covered include a basic examination of some of the major systems of the body, common disturbances to the health of those systems, and issues of daily life that significantly affect our health and wellness such as sleep and stress. This course provides insight into the manner in which common injuries and diseases impact on the anatomical structures and functional systems of the body. The risk factors that can assist with disease prevention as well as the various medical treatments and procedures available to maintain or restore the structural and functional integrity of the body are also addressed. Conditions of a muscular-skeletal cardiovascular, pulmonary, digestive, metabolic and oncologic nature are discussed.
